1. In several studies, ashwagandha has been shown to lower blood sugar levels, reduce cortisol levels and help fight symptoms of anxiety. Known as the stress hormone, Cortisol is released by your adrenal glands in response to stress. Ashwagandha significantly reduces cortisol levels (up to 30% reduction, on average when compared to a control group), which can lead to decreased fat storage in the abdomen1.

2. Potential effects of ashwagandha also include: reducing anxiety, lowering blood pressure, lowering cholesterol and triglycerides. It is also anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and supports the immune system. In another study, ashwagandha caused significantly greater gains in muscle strength and size3. It also more than doubled3 the reduction in body fat percentage, compared with the placebo group.

3. Studies suggest that the active ingredient in garcinia cambogia can increase serotonin (an appetite suppressant) in the brain, which could reduce the appetite and food intake. It also slows the formation of new fat in the body and blocks fat production, as well as increasing the oxidation of existing fats2. Clinical studies have shown that Garcinia cambogia can reduce the high fat content in the blood and the production of new fatty acids. This effectively reduces oxidative stress in the body and lowers total cholesterol levels by 6.3%, blood triglycerides levels by 8.6%, and doubles the rate of fat metabolism by 225% to 358%* after 8 weeks.
